In written business communication, the idea and purpose<\/strong> of the message is the most important, closely followed by how it is written<\/strong>, and then what channel is used to deliver it<\/strong>. Harmonizing these three characteristics will determine how effectively the message is received.<\/p>\n\n

Here are several criteria to keep in mind when determining which communication channel to use:<\/p>\n\n

How urgent<\/strong> is the message?<\/li>\n\t
What is the level of confidentiality<\/strong>?<\/li>\n\t
How much interactivity <\/strong>is needed?<\/li>\n\t
